“For forty-five years, the Iranian government has imposed strict censorship on art. Women’s bodies and hair, politics, religion, protests, kissing, touching, and more are censored. But the “Woman, Life, Freedom” revolution has changed much inside Iran. Many artists resist censorship, facing severe punishment from the government. Filmmaker M Rasoulof fled Iran barefoot after being sentenced to 8 years in jail for his recent film. Rebel rapper Toomaj Salehi has been sentenced to death for his songs. And the list goes on.” an Iranian filmmaker who for security reasons remains anonymous said.

Despite the risks, the filmmaker has chosen to say no to the censors and aims to create a feature film with three episodes about woman, life, and freedom.
